CROWN
There are different types of crown:

IMPLANT CROWN
CROWN LENGTHENING
- Dental Codes:
- D2940 – Porcelain Crown
- D2920 – Recement Crown
- Why Is a Dental Crown Needed?
- To protect a weak tooth (for instance, from decay) from breaking or to hold together parts of a cracked tooth
- To restore an already broken tooth or a tooth that has been severely worn down
- To cover and support a tooth with a large filling when there isn't a lot of tooth left
- To hold a dental bridge in place
- To cover misshapened or severely discolored teeth
- To cover a dental implant
- To make a cosmetic modification
There are different types of crown:
- metal - metals that can be used in dental crowns, including gold, palladium, nickel and chromium
- porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM)- type of dental crown can be matched to the color of the teeth that’s next to the crown
- all-resin - Dental crowns made out of resin are generally less expensive than other crown types; resin are insoluble materials exuded by plants
- all-ceramic or all-porcelain - types of dental crowns provide the best natural color match compared to any other crown type; also a good choice if you have metal allergies; ceramics are clay materials exposed to high heat
